Dr. Lauren Lazar, DDS

Dentist

Lauren is native to Washington and has lived here since she immigrated from South Korea when she was 7 years old. Having to learn English and mature quickly as the family translator she was the first one in her family to go onto college at the University of Washington to earn her BS in Psychology and then to the University of Washington School of Dentistry to earn her DDS. She is mother to 3 beautiful wonderful kids and loves to travel. 

Q. What are your interests or passions?

A. FAMILY!  I love my family and raising my 3 kids. Almost empty nested, I am looking forward to traveling more when my time becomes more flexible.

Q. What is your very favorite place to travel?

A. Kauai, Hawaii

Q.  What is your favorite hobby? 

A. To be in the sun on the beach with a great book

​

Q.  What are your dreams?

A. To be able to use my skills in dentistry traveling to rural areas and remote parts of the world to serve the underserved populations. I have been fortunate to have opportunities to serve in Eastern Washington, China, Guatemala, Africa, and Belize. I would love to do more of that in the future.

Stephanie

Hygienist

 

Stephanie studied at both Lake Washington Technical College and Eastern Washington University. She has over 20 years of experience in the dental field.

Q. Why did you decide to pursue a career in the dental field?

A. I had great experiences going to the dentist when I was a child and that motivated me to work in the dental field. 

​

Q. What is your ideal day at work at the dental office?

A. My goal is always the same - I want to create good experiences for our patients while providing them with thorough care. When I feel like our patients have all experienced this level of care and thoughtfulness, I go home happy. 

​

Q. What do you do in your free time?

A. I enjoy hiking, biking and being in nature with my husband and daughter. 

​

Q. Are you a Northwesterner at heart?

A. Yes, I suppose that is true. I've lived all over the U.S. but the Pacific Northwest is still one of my favorite places to be.

Jen

Front Desk

 

Jen was born in California but Bothell, WA has been her home for over 30 years. She is new to the dental field but has really enjoyed getting to know all the amazing patients and is excited about everything she continues to learn.

Q. If you could go on a trip anywhere right now, all expenses paid, where would you go? 

A. Italy has always been at the top of my list of places to go but I also wouldn't mind Fiji or somewhere tropical!

Q. Do you have any pets? 

A. Yes, we have a cat named Binx. 

​

Q. What do you like to do in your spare time?

A. I love to watch my son play soccer, read and spend time with friends and family

A. My son

Renuka

Dental Assistant

Renuka was born in India, then was adopted when she was 3 years old and moved here to Washington.  Seattle has been her home for over 10 years now. 

​

Q. What’s the most important thing in your life?

A. I would have to say my family! 

​

Q. What do you do in your spare time?

A. I like to be outside as much as possible! So anything outdoorsy from running races to kayaking. In the winter time I love to read books and do puzzles and go snowshoeing. 

​

Q. What’s your claim to fame? 

A. I was known as “Queen of the Game” when I won three different scholarships from a chess tournament in 8th grade!

Dr. Izoh Ashour, DDS, MS

Periodontist & Implantologist 

Dr. Izoh Ashour is a board-certified periodontist and implant surgeon who strives to always provide patient-centered high high-quality care.  Described by his patients as enthusiastic,
energetic and detail-oriented, he is known to provide a stress-free and fun environment in the office. 

Q. What do you like to do in your free time?

A. I am relatively new to the PNW, and I love exploring all it has to offer. I enjoy checking out new restaurants and cafes, driving to the mountains to ski, taking in the gorgeous nature, and experiencing amazing hiking. 

​

Q.  Do you have any adventure goals?

A. Yes, since I am now so close to Puget Sound and the ocean, I want to learn to sail and kite surf. 

​

Q.  Where did you live before arriving in the PNW? 

A. My studies have taken me to many interesting places including Egypt, Germany, Spain and most recently Baltimore, Maryland. 

​

Q.  What do you like about your work?

A. I enjoy learning about and incorporating the latest technologies and methods for minimally invasive treatments. I want to bring my best to every client interaction.

Kathryn

Hygienist

Kathryn graduated from the University of Oregon with a degree in economics and then studied at Shoreline Community College. She loves to garden. She also enjoys planning new adventures locally (the PNW has so much to enjoy) and abroad!  Nepal, Costa Rica and Greece are all on her bucket list. 

Q. What is most important to you?

A. My health and my family. I love spending time adventuring with my husband of 40+ years, my daughter and her husband and their two daughters and my son and wife
who are eagerly anticipating their first child!

Q. Who are your superheroes?

A. My mom – persevered through Cancer and Dementia and gave it her all with a huge heart and love for her family.
Dr. Sherwin Shinn and Joseph Wright of Great Shape! Inc – for encouraging me to volunteer and give of myself, my talents and my love to those who needed it. I have been volunteering my dental expertise in Jamaica and several other capacities for
the past 20 years and loving every moment, this fills my heart.

Q. What do you love about working in the Dental Industry?

A. I love that we are always gaining new knowledge on how to coach our patients to their best oral and therefore whole body health.  I truly love spending time with my dental work family and our patients as well.  I've been in the dental field for 20+ years. â€‹â€‹â€‹â€‹â€‹â€‹

Christine

Hygienist

Christine is from "all over," but mostly the east coast. Her dad was in the coast guard and they moved to Port Angeles, WA in 1995. Port Angeles is a cute small town, but she moved after high school to go to college. Now she resides in Lynnwood, which she likes because it is central to the mall, Costco, and fun restaurants. 

Q. Who are the key people in your life? 

A. My husband of 23 years, a daughter who is 9 and a female boxer named Ellie! My sister is probably my best friend. I enjoy having family time with her and her family, we live kind of far apart. She lives in Cheney WA. My mom is my other best friend and again spending time with her because she lives in Port Angeles WA. I live in the middle of the two of them so we end up at my house spending family time together. 

​

Q. What is your favorite type of food to make?

A. I don’t make it but I love sushi! I should look into making it. 

​

Q. Do you have a special dish you love at a local restaurant?

A. My favorite meal is from Cafe Veloce, it’s called the quattro formagia. It’s a four cheese pasta dish.

Jenna

Front Desk/Dental Assistant

Jenna is originally from Michigan but has lived all over the United States. Washington has been “home” since 2008. Although she is new to dental work, she enjoys working closely with patients and her coworkers to ensure everyone’s needs are met.

Q. What do you do with your time outside of work?

A. I love to bake and spend time with my family. I worked in the restaurant industry for many years, which left me very little free time. This job has made for a nice change in that regard.

​

Q. What is your favorite thing to bake?

A. I love making custom birthday cakes for the members of my family. They get to choose their favorite flavor combinations and I get to make exactly what they like.

​

Q. Do you like to travel?

A. Definitely. We went on a family trip to Japan in 2023 and are eager to go back. I have family in Canada so we get to go up there occasionally, and Vietnam and Mexico are on the list to visit as well.

​

Q. Do you have any pets?

A. Yes, we have two mixed breed dogs, Ruby and Luna. They are sweet and keep us very busy.
