Dr. Lauren Lazar, DDS

Lauren is native to Washington and has lived here since she immigrated from South Korea when she was 7 years old. Having to learn English and mature quickly as the family translator she was the first one in her family to go onto college at the University of Washington to earn her BS in Psychology and then to the University of Washington School of Dentistry to earn her DDS. She is mother to 3 beautiful wonderful kids and loves to travel.

Q. What are your interests or passions?

Q. What is your very favorite place to travel?

A. Kauai, Hawaii

Q.  What is your favorite hobby?

A. To be in the sun on the beach with a great book

Q.  What are your dreams?

A. To be able to use my skills in dentistry traveling to rural areas and remote parts of the world to serve the underserved populations. I have been fortunate to have opportunities to serve in Eastern Washington, China, Guatemala, Africa, and Belize. I would love to do more of that in the future.

Stephanie studied at both Lake Washington Technical College and Eastern Washington University. She has over 20 years of experience in the dental field.

Q. Why did you decide to pursue a career in the dental field?

A. I had great experiences going to the dentist when I was a child and that motivated me to work in the dental field.

Q. What is your ideal day at work at the dental office?

A. My goal is always the same - I want to create good experiences for our patients while providing them with thorough care. When I feel like our patients have all experienced this level of care and thoughtfulness, I go home happy.

A. I enjoy hiking, biking and being in nature with my husband and daughter.

Q. Are you a Northwesterner at heart?

A. Yes, I suppose that is true. I've lived all over the U.S. but the Pacific Northwest is still one of my favorite places to be.

Q.  Do you have any pets?

Christine is from "all over," but mostly the east coast. Her dad was in the coast guard and they moved to Port Angeles, WA in 1995. Port Angeles is a cute small town, but she moved after high school to go to college. Now she resides in Lynnwood, which she likes because it is central to the mall, Costco, and fun restaurants.

Q. Who are the key people in your life?

A. My husband of 23 years, a daughter who is 9 and a female boxer named Ellie! My sister is probably my best friend. I enjoy having family time with her and her family, we live kind of far apart. She lives in Cheney WA. My mom is my other best friend and again spending time with her because she lives in Port Angeles WA. I live in the middle of the two of them so we end up at my house spending family time together.

Q. What is your favorite type of food to make?

A. I don’t make it but I love sushi! I should look into making it.

Q. Do you have a special dish you love at a local restaurant?

A. My favorite meal is from Cafe Veloce, it’s called the quattro formagia. It’s a four cheese pasta dish.
